Re-Stucco for Phoenix Homes

From 1920s revival homes in Willo to 2000s tract homes in Desert Ridge. We put a full new finish over the stucco you already have, prepped for the wall your house actually has.

Phoenix, Arizona

Your stucco has cracks on every side, the color has gone chalky, and patches from two owners ago still show. One more patch won't fix a wall that looks tired all over.

Phoenix makes it harder than it sounds. A house here may carry decades of paint, an old hand texture, or foam trim that's coming apart, and a new coat won't stick to any of that on its own.

A re-stucco fixes the whole face at once. We clean the wall, repair and patch the cracks, bond the surface, and put new coats over it in the texture and color you pick.

Phoenix homes, decade by decade

  • Willo and Encanto-Palmcroft

Historic districts full of 1920s to 1940s revival homes with hand-troweled finishes. The new coat has to look like it belongs on the house, and exterior work in a city historic district can need review first.

  • Moon Valley

Ranch homes from the 1960s and 70s around the golf course. Many have been painted over and over. That paint is the first thing we deal with, because new stucco needs a clean, bonded surface.

  • Ahwatukee Foothills

Master-planned homes from the 1980s and 90s, many under an HOA. The color on your new finish usually has to come off the community's approved list.

  • Desert Ridge

Tract and semi-custom homes from the late 1990s on, with foam bands and pop-outs at the windows. Every one of those shapes gets wrapped in the new finish. Cracked pieces get fixed first.

Every decade of Phoenix stucco is a different wall

A 1930s wall in Willo and a 2002 wall in Desert Ridge are both stucco. They take a re-stucco in very different ways.

The older wall often has a hand texture with years of paint on top. Paint is slick, and fresh cement won't grab it. So that wall gets cleaned, repaired and given a bonding coat before any new material goes up.

The newer wall has foam trim at every window and a lighter coat over the frame. Those shapes and corners are where the slow hours go.

We figure out which wall you have before we bid. Prep is where the two jobs differ, and it's the part a cheap bid leaves out.
